Remove all high points and burrs with a chisel before starting the repair.
Once prepared, fill the damage with a couple different shades of hardwax filler making sure to overfill the damage.
After allowing time for the wax to cool, level off the excess filler with a special applicator.
Next you must recreate the grain detail, this can be done with either dye grain pens or touch up paints applied with a thin brush.
Finally to complete the repair you must apply a light coat of special repair lacquer to protect your work.
